Ich erfasse jetzt die von mir bisher erreichten Entfernungen zum SNR1 (Repeater) auf einer OpenStreetMap. So ist es, nicht nur für mich, einfacher, den Überblick zu behalten und auch neue Punkte hinzuzufügen.

So for some reason I'd like to know how long it takes to drive from Bayreuth to Cologne and I want to use alternatives to #GoogleMaps in #Germany.

#osmapp doesn't find Bayreuth even.

#MapCarta does better, but doesn't know Köln, the German name of Cologne. Think normal users, not nerds – they won't know the English names of these German cities that have English names, at least not of smaller ones.

#OpenStreetMap.de can do it.

However, openstreetmap.de does not have any sweet scraped meta data such as opening hours of places, or photos.

It's going to be a long way to a good Google Maps replacement.

So it looks like OpenStreetMap does not have categories for stuff like halal/kosher or wheelchair accessible or kid's corner??

Can someone do something about this ASAP?

I've recently started being very interested in #OpenStreetMap and have tried various #OSM apps.

The #GoogleMaps feature that I miss in OSM is clicking on a place and seeing a list of reviews and photos of the place.

Is there a project built on top of OSM that adds the functionally of adding reviews, and/or easily uploading photos of a place? And an app that shows these reviews and/or photos?

Für Wien habe ich drei Lokal-Listen angelegt, die regelmäßig gewartet werden:
• neue Lokale - die ich bald besuchen will
• favorisierte Lokale - wo ich schon war und gerne nochmals einkehre
• Kaffee - mit formidablen Bohnen und Süssem
Und diese drei "Reiseführer" sind jetzt von Apple Karten komplett zu OpenStreetMap (OsmAnd) übersiedelt. Ein weiterer Schritt weg von US-Services. Es geht munter voran :-)

Irgendein Horst hat den gepunkteten Abschnitt hier mit access=no in #OpenStreetMap eingetragen (wegen der Tennenloher-Forst-Betretungsverordnung, was aber an der Stelle völlig weltfremd ist), und ich musste jetzt natürlich noch herausfinden, wie ich neuerdings in #brouter mit dem Straight Line Routing trotzdem einen Track da durch planen kann.

Jetzt kann ich aber dort laufen gehen

Auf meinem “Navi-Handy” ist die OpenStreetMap dank OsmAnd ja ohnehin immer aktuell.

OSM skulle dermed være det første kort hvor denne plads kan ses/søges.

Hey #openstreetmap people. I want to digitize gardens from aerial imagery. Is there any tool that magically detects the green area and makes a polygon for me that I can adjust? #osm

Is there an #accessibility map anywhere? Maybe built from #OpenStreetMap? I'm thinking wheelchairs, path surface, incline, steps, etc..
