Das war sehr lange mein absolutes Lieblingsfoto. War damals, als ich noch in Marburg a. d. Lahn gewohnt habe, einfach im Tal unten ein "Altarm" an der Lahn. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, ist das Gebiet im Zuge einer Ausgleichsmaßnahme entstanden. Habe oft dort fotografiert, auch damals schon vor allem dann, wenn es Nebel gab...

Ein kleiner Ausschnitt eines Altarms der Lahn. Fotografiert im späteren Herbst mit Nebel. Das letzte Laub ist noch an den Bäumen, die Farben sind aber insgesamt sehr zurückhaltend. Der Altarm fließt in der Mitte des Fotos in die Lahn. Rechts und links davon kann man das noch nicht stark bewachsene Ufer sehen.

Hey, did you know that today is #FrogFriday ? To celebrate, I present to you Western Toad (Anaxyrus boreas) seen here enjoying a swim in a shallow creek in the mountains on Vancouver Island.

To take this photo, I had to lie down across a muddy trail because I wanted to be at eye-level with this beautiful creature. Hikers had to step over me, confused by my odd behaviour.
