Misty morning on tranquil inlet, oil painting. The morning sun reflects gently on the calm water, creating hazy reflections of surrounding trees and small islands. Mist from the cool night is just beginning to burn off. The sky shows all the promise of a new day, blue with white clouds starting to form. On the larger islands, trees and bushes grow tall, while the smaller islands support grasses that wave in the breeze.

Mein Zine!

Cover und Rückseite: Über das Müllsammeln.
Eine Comicfigur sammelt grade einen Kassenbon ein. Vor ihr liegt noch mehr Müll, hinter ihr einige Zigarettenkippen.

Manchmal gehe ich Müllsammeln.
Das hat viele schöne Seiten.
Leute freuen sich.
Ich komme an die frische Luft.
Ich finde merkwürdige Dinge. (halbes Handy, kaputtes Messer, Plüschhase, noch verpackte verschimmelte Schnitzel).

Man hat das Gefühl etwas erledigt zu haben. (Die Person guckt glücklich den vollen Müllsack an und sagt "schön schwer")
Nur die Kippen. (Der Picker hebt eine Zigarette auf.)
Die sind doof. (Die Zigarette fällt runter.)
Es sind viele.
Sie sind klein.
Sie kommen
immer wieder
nach.
Jede
muss
man
einzeln
auf
he
ben.

Viele Panel mit je einer Zigarette.

Es dau ert sehr laaangeeee.
a ber der Beu tel bleibt leicht.
D a s m a c h t k e i n e n S p a ß .

Also hebe ich nur die großen Sachen auf. (Die Person hebt ärgerlich weitere Zigaretten auf und denkt: "Nehme ich mir zumindest jedes Mal vor.")

Morning doodle: Cobb’s Wren (bird picked at random)
Since these birds mostly dwell on land, I had a lot of fun creating a little setting for it!

This doodle took me 2h20 to complete!

Pixel art of a drowned memory. The pool, a vacant eye socket staring up at a bruised sky, collects not water, but the weight of years as a sediment of shadow. Its cracked lips whisper of laughter long since evaporated. A rusted water tank, a hollowed lung, leans against the ghost of a house, its peeling skin a map of forgotten summers. The house itself is a broken jaw, teeth missing, a crooked invitation to nowhere. Machinery sprawls like the bones of a forgotten beast, trailing silver veins of defunct power. Beyond, a landslide of yesterday - concrete petals and twisted metal thorns - blooms in the grey. Skyscrapers, the petrified spines of giants, pierce the low-hanging clouds, monuments to a hubris swallowed by the horizon. Rain gathers as a thickening shroud. Light, a hesitant visitor, is absorbed by the grime, leaving only the echo of color and the geometry of loss. It is a place where silence has weight, and the past is a tangible dust. The image has a CRT filter applied.

Watercolour paintings take a lot of time, patience & layers, but it often pays off in the end!

P.S. Daniel Smith's Aussie Red Gold & Shadow Violet were used for the base layers, Hansa Yellow Deep for colour variation in the final layer, and Schminke Shire Blue + Shire Green were used for the background.
